Washington DC Museums – A complete list for Museum Day 2015

To celebrate Museum Day 2015 below (and here: https://matthewbgilmore.wordpress.com/washington-dc-museums-a-concise-complete-list/) is the list of all museums (and art galleries) in the District of Columbia. If available a website, twitter account, and online calendar are listed. [Note: libraries with exhibition spaces have not been included, nor have historic sites without exhibits.] And this answers the question posed last year: https://matthewbgilmore.wordpress.com/2014/06/13/just-how-many-museums-are-there-in-washington-dc/ (hint–it’s nowhere near 200)

Just discovering this post now. Thanks for the effort & work that went into it! I’m a huge D.C. museum nerd, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to present the list(s) and filter by cost (of museum admission)… For me, D.C.’s number of free or nearly free museums is as equally impressive as the city’s total number of museums. Just a thought and maybe an idea for Museum Day 2016!
